Visit of the General Management of the Maghreb Bank for Investment and Foreign Trade to the Islamic Republic of Mauritania from September 15 to 20, 2024

As part of strengthening cooperation among the Arab Maghreb countries and in support of economic integration among the Maghreb countries which is the main objective of BMICE, working mission was conducted by the Bank’s General Management with the support of the members of the Board of Directors representing the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, namely Mr. Mohamed NANI, Chairman of the Board, and Mr. Mohamed Salah Mohamed HANCHI, Board member.
The week-long visit allowed for the exploration of partnership opportunities for strategic investments between the BMICE and Mauritanian economic and financial actors, marked primarily by:
A meeting with His Excellency the Minister of Economy and Finance, Mr. Sid Ahmed Ould Abouh,
A meeting with His Excellency the Minister of Health, Mr. Abdallah Ould Wadih,
A meeting with the Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Mauritania, Mr. Boumediene Ould Taya,
Visits and exchanges with the main banks in the region,
Meetings with private and public groups and institutions.
The main objective of these meetings was to emphasize the importance of maintaining sustainable and close working relationships, while highlighting the need to strengthen cooperation, investment opportunities, and partnerships among Maghreb countries.
